JULIA

Julia has a BA in Dance (Specialization Ballet) and an Associate Diploma CC-CICB

Julia Friesen-Jones' love of dance began at the age of 3 after attending her first ballet and tap classes.  From that moment on her love of dance blossomed and she was soon involved in all styles of dance and auditioned and attended many professional ballet school summer intensive programs, including an acceptance to the National Ballet School.

After high school Julia's passion for dance led her to be accepted into the University of Calgary's Bachelor of Arts program which included daily training with top professionals through the Alberta Ballet School.  Simultaneously, Julia enrolled in a 3 year Cecchetti ballet method teacher training program and under the direction of the head of the Cecchetti Society of Canada Joyce Sheitze, was able to obtain her Cecchetti Associate Diploma teaching degree.  Throughout the 4 year experience Julia also had many opportunities to dance in numerous ballet and contemporary performances.

Julia has taught with Diverse Dance Company since the studio's formation in 2013 and looks forward to educating and encouraging each new generation of students.
