Leah was born and raised in Peace River and started dancing at the age of 6. She trained in several genres, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, and Ukrainian dance. She began teaching as a junior instructor in 2010 and is nearing her 10th year of teaching. For a brief period, she coached and participated in cheerleading at her local high school after taking the ACA course in 2010. After graduating high school in 2011, she went on to complete her Early Learning and Child Care Certificate at GPRC. After college, Leah returned to teach for multiple rural dance studios and continued to further her dance education. Leah has been fully certified in Jazz and Tap through the ADAPT Teachers Training syllabus since 2015.

Additionally, in 2015, she began her training in Acrobatics. As of 2019, she has completed her training with the Acro Dance Teachers Association through to the Advanced level and is certified in Module 1 with Acrobatic Arts. In addition to her dance certifications, she is certified in Module 1 and Module 2 with Alixa Flexibility and has completed the Sugarfoot Therapy teachers training course. Leah strongly believes that continuing her dance education is important to being the best teacher that she can be.
